.NET Domains

When the .NET generic domain name extension was first launched in 1985, along with the first domain extensions on the web, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure establishments. Given that there were no specific regulations about the usage of the top-level extension, though, .NET domains were obtained and used for different purposes and by a large number of people. This extension is a wonderful substitution for dot COM, especially if the wanted domain with the latter TLD is not available for registration.

The .NET top-level domain supports internationalized names, so you can select if you want to target a specific country or area using a domain name in the native language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
